Each year, students in first grade take a trip to the Principal's Office to show off their reading skills. Mr. Moxley enjoys hearing them use their new found skills as they read with fluency and expression. Each student gets a certificate that says, "I Read to the Principal."

Our K-2 students enjoyed an awesome show presented by Delta Dental. The "Tooth Wizzard" and "Plaque Man" were very entertaining as they informed our students about taking good care of their teeth.

Dear Parents, Monday is the 200th birthday for our state of Illinois. We will be celebrating here at school, and students are encouraged to dress like the "Land of Lincoln". Some suggestions would be to dress like Lincoln, a Cardinal (our state bird), wear purple (state flower - violet), or even Superman - (largest Superman statue is found in Metropolis). Be creative and join in on the fun!
