Students were asked to donate items such as: paper towels, shampoo/conditioner, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, etc. The class that donated the most items won an Ice Cream Sundae Party. Congratulations to Mrs. Peavler's Class for bringing in the most items!
We would like to recognize Mr. Brian Vincent who has officially moved into his new role as our District Technology Director. Mr. Vincent has spent the first semester transitioning into his new role while under the watchful eye of our retiring Technology Director, Scott Williams whose last day was January 30th. We wish Mr. Williams a happy retirement and we wish Mr. Vincent best of luck in his new position. We know we are in very good hands!
No School on Wednesday, January 30th, due to extreme cold temperatures. Stay safe and warm!
Dear Parents, Monday is the 200th birthday for our state of Illinois. We will be celebrating here at school, and students are encouraged to dress like the "Land of Lincoln". Some suggestions would be to dress like Lincoln, a Cardinal (our state bird), wear purple (state flower - violet), or even Superman - (largest Superman statue is found in Metropolis). Be creative and join in on the fun!
Students who are dropped off in Matthew's subdivision will be dropped off at the corner of Am Vets and Matthew's this afternoon due to utility vehicles blocking the street. Should those vehicles clear out by 3PM, drop offs will be as usual. Sorry for the inconvenience!
