Principal: Mr. James V. Moxley

Mr. Moxley hails from Eureka, IL. His undergraduate degree is from Eureka College where he majored in Elementary Education with minors in Physical Education and Social Studies. Mr. Moxley taught 4th Grade (5 years) & Jr. High Social Studies (7.5 years) in the Mahomet-Seymour School District. He also coached wrestling and girls softball there for 12 years prior to his arrival at Fisher Schools.

Mr. Moxley earned his Master's Degree in School Administration from the University of Illinois. He has been the Principal at Fisher Grade School for the last 20.5 years which makes him the longest serving Principal in Fisher school history. The longest serving Principal prior to Mr. Moxley was Jim Hires, who served as the Grade School Principal for 10 years, from 1973-1982.  This will be Mr. Moxley's final year at FGS as he is eligible to retire at the end of the 2019-20 school year.

Mr. Moxley also holds Jr. High Athletic Director responsibilities in Fisher, as well as serving as the President of the (Junior High) Sangamon Valley Athletic Conference.

Mr. Moxley and wife, Bonnie have two sons and a daughter. Matthew is a 1st Grade teacher at Carr Elementary in Fulton, KY, Tyler is a recent graduate from the Parkland College Nursing Program and Blayne who works full-time at Marine Bank.  The Moxley's also have one grandchild, Hallie who is quite awesome!
