Congratulations to Mr. Linsner & Mrs. Walters for being awarded the Empowering Education Grant from the Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative. Both teachers received $500 to use towards a project of their choice.
Mr. Linsner applied for the grant to finance the heart rate monitors that he's been utilizing in his PE class. The monitors help students track their daily fitness and set activity goals for themselves.
Mrs. Walters used the grant money to pay for resources to supplement our life skills curriculum at Fisher Grade School. With this purchase, we're able to educate our students on simple tasks they students need to master to gain independence.
