Many authors, including our speaker yesterday, Tameka Fryer Brown, will be appearing at the University of Illinois' Youth Literature Festival tomorrow October 3rd at the Campus Instructional Facility in Urbana. There will be authors speaking, book signings, music, puppet shows, hands on activities and lots of fun for the whole family! The Fisher Junior High 7th grade US History class spent the day at Cahokia Mounds walking through time and the ancient history of the Mississippian people. We learned and played "Chunky" an ancient stone and spear game, and climbed Monks Mound.
