Fisher Schools is happy to welcome Miss Claire Maxwell. Joining our third grade team, Miss Maxwell brings a wealth of experience with her. After graduating from Olivet Nazarene University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, she taught 3rd grade in Champaign before teaching 4th grade for four years at Thomasboro Grade School. Miss Maxwell's passion for teaching began at an early age in the fourth grade, inspired by playing school with her three younger sisters. This passion was solidified in high school while helping older students with their homework at a local daycare.
Originally from Monticello, IL, Miss Maxwell loves traveling, hiking with her Golden Retriever and Newfoundland, and spending time with friends and family. We're so excited to have her join the Fisher Fam. Go Bunnies!

Fisher Jr/Sr High School is excited to welcome Mrs. Tara Stafford to our staff for the 2025-2026 school year! While Mrs. Stafford is a familiar face in our district, she will be joining us this fall in a new role as our Special Education Teacher. A proud 2003 graduate of Fisher High School, Mrs. Stafford is excited to give back to the school and community that helped shape her. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education and her Master of Arts in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Grand Canyon University. Mrs. Stafford chose special education because she believes in teaching the way students learn—individualizing instruction to their strengths and building on their abilities. She is passionate about providing a safe, positive learning environment where students know they belong and believe they can do hard things. Please join us in giving Mrs. Stafford a big Fisher Bunnie Welcome as she begins this new chapter at the Jr/Sr High School!

Fisher Jr/Sr High School is excited to welcome Maddie Morris to our staff for the 2025-2026 school year! Ms. Morris will be joining us this fall as our new High School Agriculture Education Teacher. Originally from Fisher but raised in Mahomet, Mrs. Morris is excited to return to her roots and give back to the community. She chose to become an Agriculture teacher to help students and communities understand the importance of agriculture while preparing students for their futures. Mrs. Morris is especially looking forward to growing and enhancing our FFA program this year, creating opportunities for students to learn, lead, and succeed. Please join us in giving Mrs. Morris a big Fisher Bunnie Welcome!

Fisher Jr/Sr High School is excited to welcome Drew Robbins to our staff for the 2025-2026 school year! Mr. Robbins will be joining us this fall as our new Junior High Mathematics Teacher. After eight years living in the suburbs of Denver, Mr. Robbins is excited to return to Illinois and be part of a close-knit community that believes it takes a village to help students grow into capable, confident young adults. A graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, he brings ten years of classroom experience and a passion for instilling a love of mathematics in his students. Outside the classroom, you can usually find Mr. Robbins building LEGO sets with his 5-year-old son, Locke, or dressing baby dolls with his 3-year-old daughter, Finley. He also enjoys watching sports, binging shows with his wife, Sarah, and sneaking in a few minutes of video games when possible. Please join us in giving Mr. Robbins a big Fisher Bunnie Welcome!

Fisher Jr/Sr High School is excited to welcome Nathan Logan to our staff for the 2025-2026 school year! Mr. Logan will be joining us this fall as our new High School Science Teacher. Mr. Logan attended Eastern Illinois University, where he discovered his passion for teaching after tutoring fellow students. Since then, he has been committed to helping young learners grow in their understanding and appreciation of science. A fun fact about Mr. Logan—he has built and flown his own drones completely from scratch! He looks forward to bringing that same creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning to the classroom. Please join us in giving Mr. Logan a big Fisher Bunnie Welcome!

Fisher Jr/Sr High School is excited to welcome James Watts to our staff for the 2025-2026 school year! Mr. Watts will be joining us this fall as our new High School Business Education Teacher. In his young career, Mr. Watts has traveled to nearly every continent—just missing Antarctica and South America! A graduate of Carterville High School, he went on to earn his business degree from SIU Edwardsville. Mr. Watts chose education because of the fulfillment he finds in supporting others—whether mentoring youth, spending time as an uncle, or helping adults navigate their financial portfolios. He is excited to share his knowledge with our students and help them grow both personally and academically. Having grown up in a small town himself, Mr. Watts values a close-knit, supportive community. Fisher already feels like home, and he is proud to be a Bunnie! Please join us in giving Mr. Watts a big Fisher Bunnie Welcome!

Fisher Jr/Sr High School is excited to welcome Kristine Coy to our staff for the 2025-26 school year!
Mrs. Coy will be joining us as our new school counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois and a Master’s in Professional School Counseling from Bradley University. Mrs. Coy chose to become a school counselor because of the impact she can make when a student feels truly seen and supported. For her, counseling is not just a profession, it’s a calling rooted in empathy, hope, and a deep belief that every student deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, eating tacos, and spending time with her husband Justin (a Fisher alum) and their two sons, Cal and Wes. Please join us in giving Mrs. Coy a big Fisher Bunnie welcome!
